Who we are
Elizabeth Killi is the founder of the farm. It all started with a childhood dream some 40 years ago and with time, patience and lots of hard work, the farm is developing both a name for itself as well as gaining physical shape, all tucked neatly into the landscape.
Elizabeth came to Ericeira in 2007 and regained her love for horses via her first trainer, Sj. Luis Matos from the renowned Escola Das Armas in Mafra, Portugal. This military structure has kept horses as part of their tradition, and Elizabeth was one of the few civilians allowed on the premises to train with them and their magnificent horses.
To build the farm from scratch you need discipline, but also a strong adventurous soul not afraid to take risks. And this part of her comes partially from her upbringing from Norway; being the daughter of a Captain of the 7 seas, but also from her own outline of life..
Dedication, focus and consistency has let to a beautiful private farm with absolutely amazing horses.
Our vision
Our vision is to create a place made of as much natural material as we can, respecting the landscape and environment we are in, and where dedicated people can meet and interact, learn and observe the magnificent Puro Sangue Lusitano horses.
